Bringing life back to a house that had been abandoned since 2008 was the starting point for the Somewhere Estoril Guesthouse project. Located in a privileged spot, overlooking the sea and with ample indoor and outdoor spaces, the villa proved to be the ideal setting for a guesthouse with soul—contemporary, comfortable, and full of identity.
Having already collaborated with our studio on previous projects, the client knew the importance of involving Atelier ARS in the process from the outset, and as such we took on the interior design with complete autonomy: from the definition of materials and finishes to the design of bathrooms, coverings, and furniture, everything was carefully conceived by Atelier ARS to reflect the vision of the project.
It was a true turnkey project, in which the Atelier also ensured the comprehensive management of supplies and assembly, guaranteeing absolute consistency between concept and execution.
And we have an urban hotel with a coastal accent, a cheerful, fresh, and vibrant atmosphere, breathing the spirit of the sea, without falling into clichés.
More than just a place to stay, Somewhere Guesthouse is a sensory and emotional experience—where every element has been designed to make guests feel... exactly where they should be.

Client's feedback
"Our collaboration with Atelier Ana Rita began in 2013 to bring the Moon Hill Hostel in Sintra to life. At the time, we were convinced by the quality of the presentation of what she had in mind for the project, which matched our desire to create a welcoming and practical space, showcasing Portuguese roots to those who stayed with us. While the final result speaks for itself, it is important to highlight the invisible work done by Ana Rita's studio, ensuring that the delivery and assembly timings for materials were met, always keeping on top of the progress of the work and integrating their part into the overall process. The proof that everything went well was given in the best possible way—in the next project, there was no need to go to the market to do research—our decorator was chosen from the outset. In the Somewhere project, we had the essential help of Atelier Ana Rita Soares, who collaborated with us from the beginning to create an ultra-comfortable and charming environment, making customers feel at home. It is important to tell the story of one of our customers who, upon seeing the space, demanded to meet the decorator and has since also become a customer of Ana Rita. It ends up being a good summary of what this experience was like - a space was created to accommodate guests, guests who became customers."
